Day 22: Akureryi to Husavik via Mvatyn. 189km

Come for a ride through more of Iceland's geothermal and volcanic regions.
Let the pictures talk...
I used up most of my words in the last post!
Later in the day we met a special friend.

A landmark in Husavik

Today Dick has bacon and eggs for the first time in three weeks.

It was a thrill to meet up with Mike Ferris, World on Wheels Motorcycle Adventures in Husavik. We had dinner with Mike and his Icelands motorcycle adventurers.
Team Kiwi was born on a motorcycle adventure in the Indian Himalaya organised by Mike. KEn and shirley were on the ride. We met Mike again, by chance, in Cusco when he was leading a tour of motorcyclists in Peru. Mike is the inspiration for our decision to ride the world. Thanks Mike and Denise.

Husavik port - a busy whale watching port.

Home to our room in an old fish factory.
