Day 62: Cody WY to West Yellowstone WY

We are going on some motorcyclists' dream rides today. We discovered these roads in 2012 an are keen to ride them again.Chief Joseph Pass aka Dead Indian Pass and Bear Tooth Pass to Red Lodge and back to Yellowstone Park. Perfect day for a ride. And a perfect time to sing...'How lovely on the Mountains are the feet of him who brings good news,Announcing peace proclaiming news of happiness, Our God reigns!Isaiah 52:7 "

We leave Cody and ride west into the hills.
And stop for coffee and meet Marge who enthusiastically told me about the Cody Heritage Museum project. We could have talked for hours but the road calls...
Come, ride the Bear Tooth Pass road.
To Red Lodge.
Where we meet Guillermo and his friends from Mexico who are on a motorcycle journey.
Guillermo, Pedro, Raul, James, Javier, Ezequiel from Agua calientes in Mexico.
We look forward to seeing you in New Zealand.
We leave Red Lodge and begin our return journey over Bear Tooth Pass.

We stop at Cooke for coffee and...
the ride to the East entrance of Yellowstone Park.
Buffalo roam.
Sulphur coated rocks and ...
...this hot water pool are all we see of the geothermal activity as we ride to the west gate. We would need to stop at go hiking to see more of the geothermal activity.
Huge forest fires have left thousands of acres of regenerating forests.
We follow the Yellowstone River to West Yellowstone.

Another wonderful day on the road.
