Margaret River - Wine, sculptures and flowers

Rain is forecast for today.
Let's have a day off the bike.

This is a wine and food region so we decide to take a guided wine tour with Margaret River Tours. There are 167 vineyards to choose from.
We visit Cape Mentelle, Stella Bella, Vasse felix, Leeuwinn Estate, Watershed, Moss Brothers vineyards  and the Margaret River Chocolate Company and the Margaret River Cheese Company.
Wines in this region are mainly Sauvignon blanc semillon blends, Chardonnay, Cabernet sauvignon, Zinfandel, Cabernet merlot and Shiraz. We also tasted Viognier.
There is no room in the panniers for wine but the couple accompanying us made up for our lack of purchases.

After a great breakfast at La Scarpetta we head off.

The forecast rain appears at intervals through the day.

Lunch at  Watershed Winery

Sculptures at Vasse Felix. The Art of Sound exhibiton in the gallery is marvellous.

Skilled pruning

The sun sets on another lovely day on the road.
