On our way through the Atacama Desert, Chile.

The desert speaks...

A warm and generous heart at El Chino Restaurant. He gave a gift each to Shirley and me.
Mine was an embroidery with the a bird and some leaves and the word Amor (Love).

oases, where vines, tomatoes, maize, broad beans and many vegetables grow.

I am the vine...

Chicken chicarrones. Succulent inside the corn-meal crust.

I am the light...

Some of the straight roads were 50+km without a curve.
the ex aura geoglyphs.
The Atacama desert is driest desert in the world.
There is evidence of water action some time in its history.
