This is not a food blog....

You might be wondering why I haven't posted about food very often. Not a lot to report. We have been in wilderness places so food has been fairly unremarkable.
My Breakfasts have been mainly oat bran cereal and yoghurt; for lunch I have had buffalo, bison, reindeer and beef hamburger patties with salad. The meat is very lean. No one blinks an eye when I say "hold the bun and the fries."
There have been some food highlights.
Salad nicoise at the Culinary Institute on Granville Island in Vancouver

Shirley and Ken's smoked pork steaks with fresh vegetables at Tok

Birch smoked chicken salad at Klondike Kate's in Dawson

Wonderful fresh Alaskan crab with in drawn butter at a salmon bake in Fairbanks. Sorry no photos.

The steak at Sullivan's in Anchorage was excellent. We had a wee delayed celebration of getting to Prudhoe Bay meal.
