Why I'm holding my breath...

We are in Dubai after a short break back in New Zealand.

The next stage of our adventure will begin as soon as we get Orlanda airfreighted to Egypt and cleared through customs. This looks easy as I type it but as any RTW Motorcycle riders know there is always some uncertainty around these transitions.

Before we get to Cairo there are some crucial steps... which is why I am holding my breath...
Today Dick is fetching Orlanda from the BMW Motorrad where she has been serviced and been given a new set of tyres.
Then she needs to be collected by the freight company and palletised ready for airfreight.
Then she needs to board the airfreight plane which flies once a week from Dubai to Cairo on Tuesday.
Then we fly to Cairo.

After we arrive in Cairo there will be the usual border customs formalities for us and for Orlanda. We hope that goes smoothly.
Then while we are in Cairo we need to get our visas for Sudan and Ethiopia.
Then we ride south...
